26th Annual Pioneer Day

The Osceola County Historical Society will celebrate the 26th Annual Pioneer Day event sponsored by Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures on November 11, 2017 from 10AM – 4PM.The newly expanded Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek, located at 2491 Babb Road, features eight of Osceola County’s oldest structures. The Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek will also display four new 1800s replica buildings including a Schoolhouse, Train Depot, General Store and Church. The outdoor event will feature historic demonstrations, self guided tours of the pioneer dwellings, live music and family friendly activities. This event offers FREE admission and FREE parking for guests.


The 26th Pioneer Day sponsored by Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures features family friendly activities, including live music by Folk Hill Revivial, a kids craft zone, a real Florida market, historic reenactment, and lessons in pioneer chores like cow-milking and butter-making. Explore the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek and learn how Florida Seminoles and early pioneer families lived off the land long before electricity and air-conditioning while enjoying delicious BBQ from Big John’s Rockin’ BBQ or a slice of pizza from Cici’s Pizza.


The Osceola County Historical Society’s 26th Annual Pioneer Day offers FREE admission and FREE parking for guests. It is open to the public November 11, 2017 from 10AM – 4PM.
