No Early Release Of Osceola Students On Six Wednesdays During Testing During 2021-2022 School Year

In addition, Osceola County School Board Approves 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 Academic Calendars

The Osceola County School District is planning ahead by allowing students in all grade levels to have a full day of school on the Wednesdays when state and national testing will be administered this current school year. As such, parents should be advised that there will be no early release of students on the following Wednesdays:

-October 13, 2021

-March 23, 2022

-April 6, 2022

-May 4, 2022

-May 11, 2022

-May 18, 2022

Students will be dismissed from school on these days as they normally would on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. By lengthening Wednesdays during testing, it allows more flexibility of the school-wide testing schedule. Schools will now have options to build in more opportunities for breaks between the different testing sessions to allow students to stretch, relax, and refocus.

In addition, the Osceola County School Board has revised the 2022-2023 academic calendar and approved the 2023-2024 academic calendar for all public schools in the Osceola School District. Both calendars can be found at www.osceolaschools.net/academiccalendar.
