We LOVE Shark-week. My boys are obsessed with all things sea life so here's a round-up of some things you can do at home and around town to celebrate:
What to read: (Click the link for the read-along)
Clark the Shark - read by Chris Pratt
Smily Shark - Storytime with Kim
The Three Little Fish and The Big Bad Shark
What to stream:
- Finding Nemo - Disney +
- Disney's Oceans - Netflix
- National Geographic Journey to Shark Eden - Disney +
- National Geographic Sharks of Lost Island - Disney +
- Soul Surfer - Netflix
- Shark Take - Netflix
- Sharkdog - Netflix
- Zig & Sharko - Netflix
- Shark Boy & Lavagirl - Netflix
- And, of course, all things Baby-Shark on Youtube
Crafts to do:
Macaroni Kid Kissimmee - St. Cloud Shark coloring page - click here for full size.
Frozen outdoor shark hunt - Add toy sharks to paper cups of water, add a few drops of color (optional), and freeze. Kids can try to "save" the shark by melting the ice with water or using spoons to dig them out. This is a fun outdoor activity on shark-week hot days!
Shark Sensory Bin - grab a kiddy pool or any large plastic bin, and add rocks, sand, water beads, toy sharks and fish, and water. Enjoy!
Snacks to eat:
If you love watermelon as much as we do in this house, this is a fun way to celebrate Shark Week at home!
